Implied Consent blood tests are generally administered by an on-call phlebotomist from Central Medical Laboratory (CML) on contract with the Sheriff’s Toxicology Division. The Blood Alcohol Analysis is done by the Sheriff’s Toxicology Division as well.
The Pleasant Hill Police Department generally does not conduct DUI Checkpoints, rather opting for Roving Patrols or Saturation Patrols, internally and in conjunction with other police departments as part of the “Avoid the 25”.
The Pleasant Hill Police Department has a history of seeking grant funds from the State of California, Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) for the purpose of conducting sting operations and engage in educational activities directed at underage drinking.
