She worked as a research assistant for various projects with both faculty and graduate students. One project focused on analyzing social capital mobilization during the first days in jail (pretrial detention), and another traced the transformation of child and perinatal regulation in the United States, with a focal point on how child welfare’s increasing focus on minimizing risk of potential maltreatment has shaped policy responses to infant substance exposure. Further, she performed her own senior honors thesis, was a tutor and is a grading assistant for various Sociology courses. She’s a voracious reader, loves spending time with her partner and their dog and cat, enjoys tending to her plants and being outside.
